문의 [2013 YEAR] Do I have to submit financial documents?

They are not part of required documents for the admissions process, but you might need them to apply for the student visa after you are admitted.  

문의 [2013 YEAR] Is there a tuition waiver or scholarship for foreign nationals?

At the time of application, there is a little chance to win the admission scholarship from Yonsei. After completing one semester successfully, you can apply for the whole or partial scholarship for the regular students at Yonsei. A number of scholarship programs are available to international students, to which they may apply after enrollment. For more information, please contact the Scholar and Welfare Team (email: standard@yonsei.ac.kr ; telephone: +82-2-2123-2127). 
문의 [2013 YEAR] Do you accept official English proficiency test reports such as TOEFL or TOEIC?

They are not required documents, but a good test score might favorably affect admissions decision. 
문의 [2013 YEAR] Applicants’ Korean language proficiency is considered important in admissions decisions?

The level of the Korean Language proficiency may influence admissions decisions. Once you are admitted, you will have to sit for the Korean language test to check your language proficiency for academic advice. If you completed and passed Level 5 or above at the Yonsei Korean Language Institute or in TOPIK, you will be exempt from the test. 
문의 [2013 YEAR] Will there be any written exam or interview for international students?

Admissions decisions are based on the candidate’s academic achievements and potential, as well as his or her personal accomplishments. There will be neither written Exams nor interviews assigned for international students. 

문의 [2013 YEAR] How can I apply?

First, you have to apply via the University’s website (admission.yonsei.ac.kr) only during the designated application period. The application fee (₩150,000) should be paid online as well. After completing your online application, print out the completed application form, and then send your application packet via registered mail or in person by the designated deadline to Office of Admissions, along with the required documents.

Yonsei offers admissions for the fall semester as well as the spring, and there are two application periods. One starts in August for the spring semester admissions(the next year), and the other in the first half year for the fall semester admissions(the same year). For more information, please check the website admissions bulletin for international students.
문의 [2013 YEAR] Although I and both of my parents are foreigners, I completed my entire education from elementary to high school in Korea. Can I still apply for the program?
답변

Yes, you can. Wherever you were educated, you can apply only if you and your both parents are foreigners.

문의 [2013 YEAR] Who is eligible to apply for Yonsei’s admissions program for international students?
답변

Foreigners whose parents are both foreigners can apply for the program. Korean citizens who hold dual citizenship are not considered foreigners in the program. If either of his or her parents is not a foreigner, applicant’s eligibility will be eliminated if he or she is not Taiwanese. Only Taiwanese can apply for the program even if one of their parents is a Korean citizen.
